As a child, I made my first field recordings, sound effects, and dialog recordings for "radio shows," with my parents' handheld tape recorder. I now enjoy building new worlds with sound and music, original foley, SFX, and voice. I also record location sound. I'm devoted to all aspects of sound — forwarding the importance of truly listening and being open to the world and others. I have an MFA and 10+ years experience.
Though I've worked as a Grip, Electrician, Best Boy, Camera Assistant, Cinematographer, Editor, and Video & Sonic Arts Teacher, my life has always been devoted to learning and understanding all aspects of sound and the importance of truly listening to the world — being open to hear the many quiet voices around us.
I treat my work as an extension of my art and believe that listening with intent is the best way to live. I'm currently based in Portland, Oregon with an acoustically-treated studio for sound design, audio-post, SFX/Foley creation, and re-recording/mixing/sweetening. I am also travel-ready for production sound mixing and location sound recording, with professional gear, a steady hand, and open ears.
