Shibui is a Japanese antique dealer with textiles, furniture, architectural and decorative elements. We specialize in Mingei - folk art items of the Edo and Meiji era Japanese cotton indigo textiles, silk kimono. Sashiko quilting, Tsutsugaki free hand paste resist and Katazome stencil dyed material. Architectural salvage items, shoji doors, reed summer doors, lattice wood and solid wood doors. Tansu Japanese cabinetry and painted folding screens. Farm and village props, like baskets and tools also available. Great for modern as well as period pieces. Props, sets and costume departments are all welcome to our 6000 sq foot warehouse.
