Experienced Composer and musician with credits from SONY Pictures, 20th Century Fox, CBS, TCM and others. I started my career winning the Henry Mancini Scholarship for film. As am MFA student at UCLA I was introduced to composer Jerrold Immel (Dallas, Knott's Landing Paradise) and was hired as an orchestrator/composer. My big break with SONY occurred when I was commissioned by Grover Crisp to score, Major Dundee - directed by Sam Peckinpah. It was the first time a Hollywood composer was commissioned to rescore an existing film. The success of the restoration was brought to the attention of 20th Century Fox where I was commissioned as executive creative director to score The Iron Horse and Four Sons and oversee the hiring of 3 other composers for the mammoth Ford at Fox DVD box set. It won critical acclaim. The Academy of Arts and Sciences bestowed the Heritage Award for film restoration. The score to The Iron Horse was performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl to celebrate Fox's 75th anniversary among John Williams, James Horner, David Rakskin, Jerry Goldsmith and Rogers and Hammerstein. It was also selected as one of the top ten film scores by Film Score Monthly, programmed by the Venice Film Festival. I conducted the entire 2 hour plus score to film at the gala opening night of the Irish Film Festival, in Dublin.

I am a conservatory trained composer with a catalog of over 350 theatrical works of world music for classical musicians. I believe when hiring a composer you need to hire someone who is versatile in every style of music. The more versatile your composer is, the more options your film will have. A student of the electronic era, blending my classical background with electronics creates a product that enables directors to inspire their stories with eternal shelf life and appeal.
