Meghna Chakraborty is an LA-based producer who was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. Her work is rooted in innovative, impact-driven storytelling that spotlights and celebrates diverse voices and communities.
Meghna started her career in entertainment marketing and publicity, working on multicultural campaigns for studios and streamers including Amazon Studios, Netflix, Universal Pictures and Disney. She then pursued her MFA at the USC School of Cinematic Arts’ Peter Stark Producing Program, and has since worked on a variety of short film, music video and branded documentary projects. She was previously on the Narrative Film development team at Participant, and she is currently a Media & Entertainment Fellow at Gold House, where she provides AAPI-focused cultural and creative consulting.
Meghna is also a professional dancer, choreographer and content creator who advocates for cultural and psychological empowerment through art. Meghna is passionate about global, character-driven stories that push or bend the boundaries of genre, and her goal as a producer is to give audiences a thought-provoking, entertaining, 360-degree emotional experience. Ultimately, she seeks to create a safe, inclusive space for those with multidimensional identities, and a world in which younger generations can do and be whatever they dream of.
