Dan is a freelance photographer and retiring art director based in the Olympic Peninsula and Seattle, WA. Photography assignments include people for Esquire; travel for AFAR; clothing for Club Monaco; music for Red Bull Sound Select; hair product for P&G; tech for Bloomberg Businessweek and dystopian tech for The Atlantic.

As an advertising art director, Dan has worked on campaigns and projects for clients of agencies with cool names like Bonfire Labs, Camp + King, CP+B, Garage Team Mazda, GoodKid, Muh-Tay-Zhik Hof-fer, and Saatchi & Saatchi. Occasionally, his friends say “Dan’s work has been recognized by Cannes-Lions” when someone says they find industry awards very impressive.

Dan enjoys writing in third-person and fills his free time with backpacking, sailing, snowboarding, surfing poorly, and medium-length walks on the beach with his dog.
