Canon USA manufactures their Cinema EOS Line of compact, modular cameras designed specifically for cinematography applications, featuring Canon's unique Super 35mm CMOS sensor, revolutionary Canon DIGIC Image Processor, and 50Mbps 4:2:2 recording, in PL- and EF-mount options.

In this interview Jesse talks with us about the new addition to their Cinema Lenses, the Designed to perform in a shoulder-mounted application or as a traditional cinema lens, the Canon CINE-SERVO 17-120mm T2.95. This zoom lens has an ENG-style Digital Drive handgrip with zoom rocker switch, which can also be detached to allow for manual cinema operation.

Also in this interview, Jesse talks with us about the latest Firmware updates for the Canon C100 & C300 cameras. The upgrade provides a new Continuous AF (Autofocus) Function for all autofocus Lenses, using Dual Pixel CMOS AF technology. A new AF Lock setting also lets you change the image framing while holding the desired focus. These critical focusing capabilities are designed to help reduce out of focus video while providing for smooth focus transitions and assist users when operating with small crews.

The new CINE-SERVO lens features high 4K optical performance throughout the broad focal length of 17mm to 120mm within its compact and lightweight body, a three-group inner focus system to help minimize focus breathing and provide a stable angle of view, an 11-blade iris to help achieve creative depth-of-field manipulation and natural "bokeh" background, user-friendly design features, support for matte boxes, follow focus and other accessories, and rugged reliability. Designed to work with single-sensor cameras, the lens will be available in either PL- or EF-mount.
