In this interview Seth talks with us about additions to the Summicron-C T.2 line, which are the 21mm, 29mm and 135mm focal lengths. These lenses offer a lighter, lower cost alternatives with incredible performance that matches or exceeds the competition, with full coverage up to and including the new RED dragon sensor. The T2.0 Leica Summicron-C prime lenses are built with high ASA/ISO digital cameras in mind, offering plenty of depth of field and performance while maintaining a compact size. With the newest addition of focal lengths, the Summicron-C line will now feature 9 focal lengths, including 18mm, 25mm, 35mm, 50mm, 75mm, and 100mm.
Also announced is a new prototype, of the Leica M typ 240 camera with a PL Mount. The Leica M typ 240 is the world's second full-frame mirrorless camera. It is the successor to the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera, the Leica M9 of 2009. This camera features a big, bright optical viewfinder, a large high-contrast rangefinder focusing patch, Full-frame CMOS image sensor and live view with focus peaking.
