An interview from the 2014 International Broadcasting Convention in Amsterdam with Michael Perry of DJI. In this interview Michael talks with us about some of their newly released products, like the S900, their GH4 Gimbal and the Ronin 3-Axis Stabilized Handheld Gimbal System.

The DJI Spreading Wings S900 is designed for professional aerial photographers and cinematographers. Its lightweight, compact design makes it easy to take anywhere and create amazing aerials on the go. It is equipped with their most advanced motors and electronic speed controllers, a sturdy carbon fiber frame, and a brand new power distribution system, so the S900 gives you the power, strength and stability you need to create amazing footage. Weighing just 3.3kg, the S900 has a maximum takeoff weight of 8.2kg. This means you can easily carry most cameras and gimbals. While used with a 6S 12000mAh battery, it can fly for up to 18 minutes.

The DJI Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) gimbal, is an upgraded version of the popular Zenmuse Z15-GH3, and represents a breakthrough in Zenmuse precision, offering a control range of just ±0.01°. The Zenmuse Z15-GH4 (HD) is built specifically for the the Panasonic GH4 and GH3, so either camera fits perfectly in the gimbal. The Panasonic GH4 is known for its digital film quality images and small body, making it ideal for aerial cinematography and photography. When used with a DJI professional aerial system, your Panasonic GH4/GH3 remains stable and under control even in strong winds and during intense maneuvers.hree camera control modes are offered to maximize creativity and ease of flight. Orientation-locked, Non Orientation-locked and Back to Mid-point (Horizontal). All three modes can be switched between, quickly and easily in line with the needs of each shoot.

The DJI Ronin, a 3-Axis Stabilized Handheld Gimbal System, has been developed for the filmmaking professional. Simply hold it in your hands or mount it to an aircraft to create smooth and stable footage. Custom built ultra-fast processors, extremely accurate sensors, and advanced algorithms, have created a system that offers remarkably precise manipulation of control angles - within the range of ±0.02°. This puts world-class, industry leading technology into your hands and creates unparalleled picture and video stabilization.
