In this interview Steve talks with us about their Arri Alexa Mini Cage, Next Generation Recoil Rigs and the Gratical HD & Gratical X.
This is a modular cage designed specifically for the Arri Alexa Mini. The cage includes four separate plates, - top, bottom, and each side - which can be used in multiple configurations. The sides attach to the top and bottom plates via 5/32nd allen screws. To use the side plates, the top and bottom plates are required. The top and bottom plate can be used independently. Each plate gives numerous ¼ 20 and 16 screw holes for mounting accessories to this camera. The top plate and the left side plate also have screw holes configured for mounting a V-Mount battery plate, an Anton Bauer battery plate, or a Wireless Plate Pro. At the front of the cage on the side plates there are 2 included M6 Rosettes. There are two additional places on the side plates to mount extra rosettes. The cage has both ¼ 20 and 16 screw holes along the bottom for mounting the camera to any baseplate or tripod head. The optional Alexa Mini Cage Rod Riser allows for 15mm lightweight spaced rods out the front or back of the cage.
The Gratical HD Micro OLED electronic viewfinder uses an extremely powerful FPGA dual core processor and the latest Micro-OLED displays to provide a hugely expanded contrast range. Our Micro-OLED display supports high pixel density with unparalleled resolution, true blacks, gamma and contrast range. The Gratical HD has 5.4 million pixels on a 0.61” diagonal screen no bigger than the size of your thumbnail. The Gratical HD includes two HDMI and two SDI ports with cross conversion from HDMI to SDI. Weather resistant covers prevent moisture or debris from getting in open ports.
The Gratical X Micro OLED electronic viewfinder uses the same extremely powerful FPGA dual core processor and Micro-OLED display as the Gratical HD. The Gratical X allows you to customize your Gratical with the features you need. When you receive your Gratical X, you will need to register and activate it at Registration. Upon activation, the unit will have HDMI and SDI inputs, display adjustments, color bars, blue gun. Additional software features like pixel to pixel zoom, peaking, false color, LUTs, zebras, frame store, HDMI and SDI outputs and many more can be purchased a la carte.
