An interview from the 2016 National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas with Nico Marchand of SHAPE. SHAPE manufactures supports and custom-built equipment for video/photo cameras. Their company fills the demand for specialized camera complementary equipment with products designed for both the amateur and the professional cameraman. In this interview Nico talks with us about the ProductionHUB Award of Excellence winning, SHAPE ICON Wireless Director's Kit.

SHAPE ICON director's kit is based on a universal bracket system that will secure the position of your monitor with a 1/4-20 captive screw. The monitor support allows the possibility to install a Paralinx or Teradek wireless data receiver and an Anton Bauer or V-Mount battery plate. This product offers a perfect handheld solution for directors to carry around. The monitor can also be installed on a gobo stand to keep your setup in the same place. The monitor position can be rotated forward and backward using a red ratchet key to secure the position. Behind the monitor, there's a universal cheeseplate with 1/4-20 and 3/8-16 threaded holes. The cheeseplate can move forward and backward with the red knob screw to provide an easy access to the battery rear connectors of the monitor.

This bundle includes a pair of handle with our patent push button technology allowing 360 degrees rotation. With this technology, the handle can be easily place up or down with a simple press of your thumb, and you can positionned it backwards so the monitor can easily hold on a flat surface. The handle are attached to the monitor support with SHAPE standard ARRI rosette place on each side of the monitor support. SHAPE also included in this bundle a strap made of rubber and nylon to provide you a better support and to increase the security for the monitor. SHAPE design the monitor bracket to be mounted on a gobo stand, and it can also be mounted on our ICONBLOC 15mm Spigot 750 to be installed on rods. The rubber handgrips can be replace by our new wood handles made of maple hardwood.
