In this interview Delix gives us a preview of the AW-SF200 Auto Tracking Server Software.
Panasonic is excited to introduce a state of the art auto tracking software server, AW-SF200, which dramatically simplifies PTZ camera operation in classrooms, lecture halls, auditoriums, stage environments, etc., by enabling compatible PTZ cameras, AW-HE130, AW-HE40 and AW-UE70, to automatically keep track of a speaker or a lecturer.
The Auto Tracking Server consists of a dedicated hardware server kit running proprietary AW-SF200 Auto Tracking Server Software for the simultaneous control of up to four of these PTZ cameras, and new tracking algorithm enabling smooth, reliable and accurate tracking of objects without the need of a camera operator or bulky gear for a presenter.
Utilizing a template matching and motion detection technology in conjunction with high quality streamed video over IP, the AW-SF200 auto tracking software allows for automated tracking of the person/object without the need for any external devices or transmitters. The tracking technology is fine-tuned to keep tracking a person even when he/she turns away from the camera.
