About
At 16 years old, Jason shot home video of a funnel cloud near his home in Northeast Denver. Forty-five minutes later, the video was aired as the "cold open" for News4 at 4 O'clock, two weeks later, Jason received a check for $30. He was hooked. Pursuing TV production classes at the Denver Public Schools Career Education Center, Jason served as a studio cameraman, Director, and Technical Director for various projects his Junior and Senior years of High School.

Soon afterward, Manny asked Jason to return to KUSA-TV. Being a contributor at that time, on the two time NPPA Station of the Year Staff, as well as a faculty member of the NPPA News Video Workshop, Jason has learned from the best in television news photography.
In 2000, after 6 years both in and out of local news, and a brief run with Fox News Channel, Jason was hired to be part of the Fox 31 News start-up in Denver.
Having travelled on assignment to Moscow 2006, Uganda 2007, Mexico 2009-10, Israel and Jordan 2010, Jason has gained longer format experience, producing documentaries internationally and locally.
