A documentary film that follows the fight for LGBTQ inclusion in the United Methodist Church. Since 1972, the Book of Discipline has stated that "Homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching." This statement led to prohibiting the ordination LGBTQ people and prevents United Methodist pastors from performing same-sex weddings. The contentious debate over these prohibitions led to calling a special General Conference in 2019 to settle the matter. UnUnited the Documentary Film follows the lead up to General Conference 2019 and the decisions made there regarding the United Methodist Church's stance on human sexuality.
