About
As Director of Photography for Bishop’s Stortford College, I led a crew of six in producing a series of four videos over five days. These films highlighted different aspects of this prestigious independent school, including the main piece, “The Modern Face of Independent Education,” along with supplementary videos on sports, the prep school, and the senior school. The project was carefully scripted and storyboarded to showcase the school’s modern spirit, values, and quality. Through a combination of interviews and b-roll, we aimed to capture the vibrancy and refinement that align with the college's prestigious reputation.

Technical Info
We utilized three Canon C70 cameras—two for interviews and one for b-roll—to achieve a polished and cinematic style. The visual approach emphasized the elegance of the school’s facilities, pupils, and activities. To enhance the cinematic quality, cine filters were applied to create a soft, refined look by lifting shadows. The shoot involved splitting the crew into two teams to efficiently cover various locations, with dynamic movement achieved using a dolly-mounted camera. One of the standout scenes was filmed in the pool, perfectly encapsulating the energy and sophistication of the school, resulting in a visually captivating moment.
