I LOVE comedians. Hollywood comedian Melinda Hill knows a LOT of them. So she wrote a hilarious web series of botched attempts at finding love based on her very own standup. Directed by my friend Adam Franklin and employing just about every Montana creative at tonofbricksLA, Romantic Encounters turned out the nominations including “outstanding achievement in writing and acting” at the 2014 LA Web Fest, a 2013 LA Weekly award for "best comedy series,"and was an IndieWire Critic's Pick for "best comedy web series. See the recurring cameos by Sascha Alexander as well as the long list of familiar comedians: T.J. Miller, Kirk Fox, Bryan Callen, Steve Little, Carlos Alazraqui, Dana Gould, Drew Droege, and Taylor Negron. Scott Shriner of Weezer and his wife, the incredibly brave and talented writer Jillian Lauren also appear.
