About Me

Hello, I'm Sota Shinozaki, a 20-year-old from Japan with a passion for filmmaking, particularly in film production and post-production with a specialization in sound mixing and rigging the camera. I pursued my education in these fields at Diablo Valley College, where I gained valuable insights and skills.

Outside of my professional endeavors, I have a diverse range of hobbies that fuel my creativity, including photography, piano, video editing, and sound recording. These interests allow me to explore different avenues of storytelling and expression.

I've also had the opportunity to travel to Vietnam, which was a memorable experience that broadened my cultural horizons and inspired new perspectives. Looking ahead, my dream destinations include France and Germany, where I hope to immerse myself in their rich history, art, and culture.

In terms of entertainment, I enjoy all kinds of movies, finding inspiration and enjoyment in various genres and storytelling styles. When it comes to music, one of my favorite musicians is Dubbusy, whose music resonates deeply with me and influences my creative process.

One of my proudest achievements is living overseas independently, where I learned valuable life skills and self-reliance. This experience taught me how to adapt, be resourceful, and take initiative in managing various aspects of my life.

In the short term, my goal is to establish myself as a filmmaker here in the United States, utilizing my skills and passion to create impactful and compelling stories. Looking towards the future, my long-term aspirations include becoming a film director or cinematographer in Japan, and contributing to the vibrant and diverse landscape of Japanese cinema.
